canyoning nepalCanyoning one of the new additions to Nepal’s extreme sports activity list, an amazing full body and mind experience that enables you to explore some of the most forbidden places in the Himalayas of Nepal. On your journey, you will be accompanied by our qualified guides who will train and guide you in a way of such unforgettable and exiting places. In the course of canyoning, you will make a journey though close passages of rock which has been contoured by ages of rushing water from the Himalayan snow melts. You will also traverse though the natural places like dense jungle, over deep pools and down rocky walls and water-falls. Canyoning is one of the ultimate extreme adventures that get you off the beaten track and such an opportunity should not be missed by an adventure seeker. It also allows you to explore some of Nepal’s most remote wilderness.

This unique type of sport includes going down canyons using a variety of techniques including walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling and swimming, etc. You will experience a different world by using your good navigational skills, rope work, swimming ability and a good level of fitness and upper body strength.

Generally, canyoning is carried-out in wet, mountain canyons with water flowing through them. Canyons that are considered to be good for canyoning, are cut into the bedrock stone, forming narrow slots with drops, beautiful sculptured walls and spectacular waterfalls. Many of the best canyons are generally cut into limestone, but many other common rock types include granite and sandstone. Canyons can be assumed to be quite easy or rather than considering as difficult. However emphasis should be given as the sport focusing on aesthetics and fun, rather than considering this as difficult venture. It should also be noted that significant water flow can make canyons very treacherous, and require special rope work techniques for safe travel.

Canyoning requires various items such as climbing hardware, static ropes, helmets and wetsuits.
